Agency History & Background

Hagmann Investigative Services, Inc. was officially founded by Douglas J. Hagmann in 1990 after a three year partnership with a Pennsylvania based private detective agency. During this three year partnership, Doug Hagmann was the primary investigator on over six hundred case files, ranging from suspected fraudulent insurance claims to unsolved homicides. In fact, at the request of a family member, Mr. Hagmann launched an investigation into the April, 1982 homicide of his uncle, which was unsolved at the time of this request in 1987. As a result of countless hours of investigation and much persistence, an arrest in this five year-old murder was made within six months of the start of his investigation. The individual arrested was ultimately convicted by a jury in Erie County, Pennsylvania and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Utilizing his strong insurance and investigative background, Mr. Hagmann began what is now known as Hagmann Investigative Services, Inc. Since 1990, this agency has handled over two thousand cases of various types, specializing in insurance related issues such as workers' compensation fraud, personal injury and liability cases for US and Canadian based insurance companies, employers, third party administrators, and law firms.

Over the last several years, Hagmann Investigative Services has grown and branched out into New York and Ohio. We have added a small staff of hand-picked professional investigators that have many years of insurance and investigative experience and share the same level of enthusiasm, dedication and persistence on which this agency was built.
