al Qaeda Operatives Preparing to Enter US via Canada

28 August 2003--A review of a number of postings found on at least two separate Internet "jihad forums" suggest that Al-Qaeda' operatives are poised in Canada, near the United States border, awaiting specific orders to enter the United States. In fact, some postings suggest that this infiltration has already begun, and the operatives of al Qaeda as well as Hamas and related supporters are possibly using stolen Saudi and French passports to enter this country. The postings suggest that these operatives are fluent in English, clean in appearance, have studied and are very well versed in Western culture and on average, relatively young in terms of their age.  Their stated intent is to "transfer the battle to the interior of American lands... the transfer of 'the battle' from Afghanistan to the depth of the states and the American cities."  Al-Qaeda -  with this success - will carry out (with) the "accumulation of men and their mobilization (an activation) of these sleeper cells in Canada, separated from the heart of the American capital by only kilomers..."
